Hard yards
« on: Sat 23 May 11:24 2020 »
Had kinda hoped to have a fairly easy day but after paddling 10 odd k's for one halfhearted bump I new that was out the window, eventually a long long way from the launch spot things came good, amazingly in 2 or 3 medium sized pools I found what seemed like the mother load with Sooties on nearly every snag, a few Toga under the branches and even had a little Cod attack the spinnerbait hanging off the side of the yak, not sure yet how far I traveled but it took 3 hours at 3 knots with only a handful of casts on the way to get back.
For what was looking like a day of struggling it really turned out pretty epic even though I got a lot more exercise than I wanted and today I'm struggling to make a fist I'm already contemplating another trip, might even dust off the fly rods  8)

Mate,
those Togas could have the same mother and father,
A great effort as usual.
