Wow thats a nice size cobia micks.  Must been pretty exciting landing from a kayak. How many kilos did it weigh??.. i  caught my  one and only cobia many years ago on a charter out from noosa and still vividly remember 2 things....1... the fight it gave. It was  the best fighting fish experience i ever had and to this day  still hasnt been matched... and 2....the seas were a bit rough and it was a job fighting the fish and trying to stay upright on my 2 feet from the boat rocking me up and down. . I managed to get him in and afterwards i sat down so bloody exhausted  and everyone  looking at me and i said that they were about to witness history as i immediately started to chunder.  First time ever i done that on a fishing trip.  Still dont know if it was seasickness from the rough sea or the energy that was sapped from me trying to land my fish and stay upright.    Still i dream and relive that catch many times...  it was a beauty similar size to the one in your photo...dont know what it weighed as i was to crook the rest of the day.....

    Micks,

You did good, nice fish, last time I caught them was about 20 years ago in Hervey Bay , past the Southern Gutters off Rooneys.

    frankiedafisherman,

Nice feeling hey, catching a speedster and giving you a workout. Few more fish would come around with the berley trail.
