Mixed bag before brekky from Marcoola
« on: Sat 5 Oct 18:42 2019 »
I haven't been out fishing for a bit but did manage to get a quick session before breakfast this morning.  The tide was low with a light offshore wind so near perfect conditions for my area.  I pulled a couple of worms and then found a nice gutter with a bit of a hook to it which produced quite a few just under whiting and three keepers (no real size to them).

I also managed a bream and a dusky flathead which was a shade under 40cm and released (I could nearly taste it).

Normally I don't get much bycatch except for dart so very happy with the session.

Anyway, its always good to get a feed (after adding a couple of green prawns) and I will have to think seriously about targeting the lizards.  Maybe try a few plastics again.

Have fun, hopefully those on holidays get a few,

Dave

    Love your reports.

Good honest fishing and not afraid to keep a feed of fish either ;)
