NPD 7/7/19
« on: Tue 9 Jul 08:20 2019 »
Another good day last Sunday. Young Michael almost cracked his face with his first fish a 50cm bass and Michael snr ( No relation) cracked a 53cm one and Mark still struggling with several 49cm models. As usual the best places are the edges of the drop offs but sometimes in 20ft of water and other times in 55ft just have to look on the sounder and drop a shrimp.
Final tally 120 bass.
Cheers
Ray

    Rayke,

Would that be Michael Pitkin? If so, good to see he landed a nice bass.

Been getting redclaw any depth between 4 and 20feet
Been getting deckies to save me any frames, skin and heads of fish that they take home and also keeping any forkies and the odd tadan and using them for bait. Previously been using dog pellets , The fish lasts longer than the pellets which is an advantage as I only go twice a week.
Using pots with fish and dog pellets side by side the fish wins hands down.
Downside of the fish is that the boat stinks when i get home and I have to give it a good hose out. Things like rockmelon , par boiled potato. mango etc work ok if it is only a overnight soak,
    Cheers
