Advice please
« on: Sat 9 Feb 16:01 2019 »
I'm currently running a Lowrance HDS combo that's about 8 years old and it's been a great unit. Technology advances in sounders now leaves the unit well behind the times. Stuff like Chirp and Side Scan look inviting.
So I'm looking to upgrade and looking for advice.
The Lowrance Hook-Fish Finder Combo + TripleShot Transducer seems to tick all the boxes. Does anyone have any feedback on these units? Or is there something else in the price range I should consider?
Thanx
Brad

What sort of fishing do you do?
If you fish offshore my personal go to would be a furuno.
Ive had a FCV 585 in my bigger boat for quite a few years , it is an excellent unit , the newer ones are probably even better.
I run a lowrance HDS 7 in my little tinnie , it does a good job, but if I had to choose ,Id go with my furuno every day of the week.

    hi mq
that volts on the screen was before i put the rectifier on now my battery volts cut out at 16.80 volts much to high and i cant find a diode to drop it i need a zener 14volt doide that will carry 3 amps
i have ordered another rectifier to see if this one is faulty
