It's just a shame all those bait fish don't taste like prawns.

So I'm not the only one getting loads of baitfish. Got my biggest ever Christmas Tree of herring today in amongst the moored boats. Probably 150+. Local pelican and
seagulls were happy. Took about half an hour to remove.

Last week got about 17 litres of solid mediums with a a good lot of large  mixed in around the moored  boats.

Went to Nudgee this morning for the high tide at 0608hrs.  Nothing outside and very little in the creek.  Ended up with about 3 litres of small and very small prawns.  Still heaps of baitfish, wish you could catch baitfish up at Hinchinbrook this easy!

Got just shy of 5 litres around Jacksons yesterday arvo. There were only another 6 boats looking.
Arrived a little late as I launched at Carbrook and checked everywhere on the way up. They could have been better just after the turn. Small to mediums.

Went shrimping at Nudgee today, i'd like to call it prawning but i'm sure they are a bit larger. I guess they still taste the same , just a lot more peeling.

Very few in the creek yesterday - 2 hours work for about a quarter of a kilo. Too rough to look outside.

Hi,

I was heading to Bribie today so decided to leave early to miss the southside traffic and have a prawn in Nudgee creek.

As Freedom found yesterday very little in the creek. I started on the last of the run in and about 2 hours of the run out before calling it a day. Very small prawns with the odd medium. A lot of throwing for about 3 litres.

Had a look out to the mouth and a bit wider for zero so back up the creek for the run out.

Cheers,

Ross
