I was around the powerlines and markses Saturday morning and I can tell you first hand there was 5 boats at the powerlines catching nothing and one boat at markses catching nothing!!!
That's what I thought, too Blinky. Then some guy on Facebook, whom I don't know claims he got them with a picture, too. Without having been there who knows? But my Nudgee info is 100% accurate.

    Hi All,

I can confirm I got 1/3 of a bucket at Nudgee, enough for a feed for me and all I can be bothered peeling :)  some near the boat ramp and most up river right behind the sunken trawler, lots of good size prawns about a quarter were under 10s and the rest being mediums and a big flatty to boot. I got about 3-4 bream and a couple of barred grunter but too small to keep.

the flatty put a couple of small holes in my net, anyone on the north side do net repairs ?

Nice work, Heath. Not sure if Merv Nimmos is too busy to repair. He lives Northside. I will be at Nudgee Wednesday. If you have time, and cant find another I will be quite happy to repair your net. I would just need to know in advance, Then I can take my needles and gear along Wednesday.

The Bay island guys are keeping things quiet. I hear there were good catches at the Salts yesterday. Shhhh. I went to Nudgee. I found some out front at airport. Only half a bucket, Today. It was hard going, but good prawning. Also- Prawns at DWB, in the pine.
And  Cod hole, and mouth of Caboolture

    Hi,

Skip & i went to the Pine this morning & had several checks of Deep water bend at different stages of the tide for zero. Scratched up a feed from all the usual haunts with small numbers each cast probably 7 to 8 the best cast. Still mostly a good size. Pulled the pin about an hour after turn of the tide.

    Cheers,

    Ross

    Hi,

Friday Dale and I went to the Caboolture River, not many boats out. We found prawns in all the usual spots with some producing better than others. Some spots had smaller models and some had large size. We kept moving from spot to spot and ended up with 20 litres. Dale found a new snag in the hole at Goong creek and tore a good length of his chain from the net. OUCH !!!!!
Garlic prawns for dinner and prawn sandwiches for lunch.
Mighty Quinn scored some as well seeing he can't throw a net because of his operation. Won't be much longer Steve.

    Cheers,

    Ross

Today was one of those awesome experiences that only occur maybe once per year. Nothing better than finding the school before anyone else has. Best cast was my third - A Half a bucket of Stonkers. You only have to look to know where I caught them.
