$5million ,over 3 years to be shared among local organisations (what ever that means). Thats not going to go far. Why is it only looking at bait prawn industry. Do they have any idea where this came from or arent they looking in that direction. Keeping our country free of the virus should have started with the imported prawns that carried the virus in the first place,or have I got this all wrong? Please enlighten me.

Seems like common sense doesn't it. Unfortunately money talks louder.

A huge cost to everyone involved, commercial and recreational. Not just money, but also in the other benefits, like keeping people healthier by getting them outdoors for a bit of sunshine and mentally better after a day on the water.

You'd think Biosecurity 101 would mean keeping carriers of disease (green prawns) out of the country full stop.
