Fraser Island
« on: Tue 17 Jul 06:05 2018 »
Hi , There are 6 of us heading up to Fraser on the 24/7 , we are starting with the first 2 nights swagging it at the Cape , then 2 nights just north of Ngkala and the last 3 down the eastern beach .
Has anyone been over lately and if so what has the fishing been like ?   The weather forecast looks to be fantastic at this stage so looking forward to the trip

There should be , I have seen reports that most of the sand is back at poyungan rocks so you would assume that the rest will now be ok , if not , we will go as far as we can and work our way back ;-)

Went as far as Browns Rocks last week. Not a problem.
    Plenty of beach.

    Wouldnít know mate.

Went with my wife, and a mate with 2 young daughters.
Spent pretty well the whole trip playing tour guide.

Some good looking water though. Nice gutters most of the way up the beach.
Plenty of melon holes for the whittling too.

Iím sure your going to have a great trip. Wish I was  going with you.

    Thanks
    Rob

Identify gutters at low ... fish them on high

3 of the last 4 year the low tide gutter were better formed in that area last year being the exception,I can plan my stay around either high or low tide gutters going on evening.
