It was Near enough to full moon, and not too windy last night. A great opportunity for a bit of night prawning, and my effort never went to waste. I got half a bucket of quality prawns in the river. The largest was 22cm. The most difficult bit was finding them. That took an hour and a half. Best cast was half a dozen, and there was plenty of bait fish. Having forgotten to recharge my battery from a previous trip it left me blind casting. But, Still did well. As usual I got most of my catch in 2-4 metres depth. I arrived home and had a big cookup, before finally going to bed.

Banged 'em again last nite. They had moved a kilometre further upstream. Just on half a bucket again. I think that will do me for this season, Its getting too cold.

need some help guys... situation is like this....

My sister in law has just married, and is visiting us on her honeymoon. All the way from broken hill, she is fillipino and loves her prawns. Last time she visited i didnt even own a cast net so a feed of crabs and squid and she was happy. Im sure i can deliver the crabs and squid again but i DEARLY would love to catch her a few prawns as my wife tells her that i am a prawn catching machine.

Greasies or bananas dont care just want about 20 prawns that i caught for her.  Can do from redcliffe to southern bay, any ideas on how i can get a couple... I know i can get some from woollies but i would like to catch them for her.

     cheers leso
