Or they could’ve run out to sea, they were in the shallows around browns bay on Sunday, when the tide was dropping

was out on Sunday, casting for a few hours in the Brisbane river, tried colmslie, boggy creek, the poo shoot and ended up wiht about 5 prawns and about 20 big mullet, all prawns are greasies.

where did all the prawns go ?

Been out of action for a couple of weeks while I had some renovations done on my ageing plumbing. After p*ssing blood for about four days things started to clear up on Sunday, so I did the sensible thing and waited one more day (all good) before hitting the Pine this morning chasing prawns. Found a good show straight away and bagged out in about 2 hours. Quit about 8 o'clock in time to get stuck in the traffic. Prawns were the usual medium bananas with a few greasies. Good to be back at 'work' again!
    Cheers Freeeedom

Took 3 hours for 9 litres at Nudgee. Scattered too, Best cast was half a litre. I almost bagged out on catfish too. They must have been playing their "Superbowl" Against the prawns. I nearly always pulled up a small cattie with each prawn. They are buggers to extricate from the net.

With the trawlers concentrating their shots between Shorncliffe and Woody point. I'm guessing the Pine will continue producing for quite a few days yet. There were trawlers at the mouth of Briz river yesterday too. That rain has a habit of pushing the bigger ones out for a day or two.

Tried out the front of Nudgee this morning and it was just hard work. Best cast was about 6 prawns. Went up the creek for a look under the highway bridge and it was mainly really small greasies with few nice bananas as well. 3hrs for 2.5kg.

There was seven at one point but everyone was moving around looking for them. The ones we did find were to the right as you leave the river in about 3.6m.
