Springwood Marine
« on: Wed 12 Jul 22:08 2017 »
I went past Springwood Marines yard today and it is empty with a sold sign on the front fence.

Have they moved again or are they gone.

Thought somebody may know.

That's a shame. The more boatyards around the better AFAIC.

I know they were owned by a big parent company.
Didnt really get into details of the closure though.

They were owned by Zupps I believe.

    And I agree with Mitchell.

When i was looking for a new boat a few months ago, they seemed pretty good to talk to. No bs in what they told me. Not like other dealers.

It was a toss up with them and another dealer. It came down to price in the end. They lost

They were not interested in selling me a boat a few months back. Spent my money at Burpengary on a new Quinny.

I found the best deal I could get for a new Quintrex was at Boat Galore in Bundaberg. Was well worth the day to drive up and back to collect the new rig. Renegade 420, 50Hp Suzuki and upgraded Al trailer. I am absolutely wrapped with the Blade hull in Moreton Bay and the Suzuki is effortless! The only mods I have made was to move the fuel tank to the bow and put a 4 blade Solas prop on the donk. Best price all round South East Queensland.  ;)
