Rego paid but no sticker
« on: Sat 22 Apr 14:31 2017 »
Ive paid both boat and trailer rego over the easter break but no sticker has arrived.
Rego expires today and looking to head out Tuesday.
Are stickers still sent out or like cars no longer required ?
Still keep to plans and go or wait for sticker ?
Not sure if have a receipt, was all paid via Bpay through online banking

No sticker for trailer, but I think is still required for the boat.
If the payment went through you will be in their database, so just go. Be a pretty miserable copper who gave you a ticker for not having a rego sticker because it had not yet been mailed out.

Trailer doesn't require stickers only the boat

Rego stickers, any chance printed in NSW?
    Maybe flood delays?

Just be safe and remove any expired stickers they can apparently ping you for displaying them.

I know someone got pulled up by Fisheries and asked the fella where is the registration sticker for his boat. Fella said he left sticker at home on the table, fisheries gave him a calling card and said he would be given a warning but required fella to give him a call with boat registration details. Not long after fella done that, Fisheries contacted fella and said a fine will be sent by post.

I don't know if fella is telling porkies or not but if an authority said one thing (with witnesses) and does something else, surely would that not be morally and ethically wrong to do so?

Obviously fella is very peed off about it

Trailer no sticker as above and for boat you do need one, we were pulled
up by fisheries on our last trip to Glenlyon and they confirmed that a boat
    requires rego stickers still.

    Cheers Jason

Isn't Fisheries for fishing enforcement, not boating issues?
