trailer repairs
« on: Sun 23 Oct 14:49 2016 »
Hi Guys,

I am chasing a good repair place to replace the u bolts that hold the axle on plus a few extra rusty bolts.
I work at morningside and live in forest lake so some where near either of theses places would be fine.
Boat is of the trailer at the moment if that helps.
Trailer is for a 4.2m catcher
Thanks

Graham

Hi Graham,

FMS trailers at Seventeen Mile Rocks 3279 7881. Doug.

I am taking my trailer over Wednesday to have the cross members replaced.

Cheers,

Ross

I used FMS a few times for work on my old trailer before I eventually replaced it. Was always happy with the work done.

Do they need you to remove the boat off the trailer or do they have facilities to allow them to work with the boat on it ?
    Thanks

If it's only suspension there will be no need to take the boat off.

Just take it to them with the boat on. If they have to replace other bits and pieces like a spindle in a roller, they can set it up for you again so the boat is positioned perfectly on the trailer.

Rosco can confirm but FMS will take the boat off the trailer and refit to
    the repaired trailer.

    Hi,

Just had the cross members on my boat trailer done by FMS trailers and they took the boat off at their premises. He has a fork lift with long bars and uses that to remove/replace the boat. Very happy with the work he did.

    Cheers,

    Ross
