Title: Viewing Lowrance hook 2 7 .USR file on computer

i have down loaded my trails on a cd card from my sounder but cant open them on my computer it said they are usr files and cant open

Seems like it is a file system thats set to the lowrance gear i dont know what programs would be able to read that file system.

You can convert the .usr files to just about anything using GPSBable or save your waypoint files in the GPX format, then you can view in free Easy GPS software easygps.com.
Another option is to buy the Lowrance (Navico) viewer called Insight Planner for $40

Stick the card in your computer, in any GPS program select 'open file' (may be 'import' in some programs.)
In EasyGPS I think you have to export the data as a GPX file but I've never used it.
